Webb30 nov. 2013 · After purchase and registration they mount the plates which involves running self tapping screws into the front bumper cover. No holes actually get drilled. Yes I imagine they did use self tapping screws. When you take the screw back out it looks similar to a drilled hole. My car was a dealer trade. WebbYou can buy a plate that they sell specifically for mounting the plate on there. It's $35 if you get it from the dealership, but close to $50 on Amazon. You could just get a decorative front plate with a bumper bully plate frame and have protection for your front bumper against people who can't park and use your front bumper to bounce off of. WebbI'm in Ohio, where we've always had mandatory front plates. The used Bolt I just bought, therefore, has the front plate bracket installed. I just got my plate for it - and note that I said singular plate. Ohio no longer requires or provides front plates. That means I've got a bracket to remove, and that means I'm gonna have holes in the front.
